Poketa Characters


These are all the the characters I'm currently using in my Pokemorph novelization. (If it ever gets written). Right now most of the character pictures are links to even better pictures.. I'm still working on getting a decent pic of every character.


Arashi
Species: Zapdos
Age: 19
Height: 6'1"
Sign: Cancer

Arashi's mother once owed her articuno brother-in-law a hefty debt over medical bills (she was a hemophiliac), which she failed to pay off before she died. The articuno took charge of the then 5-years-old Arashi, and forced him to work to pay off the debt his mother had left. Although it was later proven that the debt had long been paid off, Arashi "worked" for the articuno until he was 19. As a result of this wonderful abuse, Arashi is an introverted and moody little bastard. He's arrogant, self-centered, and antagonistic.. or at least, he pretends to be.


Doshaburi
Species: Ditto
Age: 24
Height: 5'8"
Sign: Pisces

Doshaburi, Sha's younger brother with an identity crisis, is weasely, cowardly, and generally just a puny kind of guy. Sha sends him out with Maruyake to monitor the mews just to get him out of her hair, really.


Hyouden
Species: Mewtwo
Age: Physically 21, emotionally 8
Height: 5'11"
Sign: --

Hyouden was cloned from previous mewtwo attempts and DNA from mew fossils. He's an extremely intense person, driven by his desire to avenge the murder of Juusui, his sister. He's not the brooding type, but he doesn't smile much. He's unusually courageous and very self-reliant, but also very humble, and seems to have little or no self-esteem. He never uses his real voice, only his amazingly strong power of telepathy. Despite this, he doesn't know how powerful he really is, and is constantly in doubt of himself. He hates mews with a vengeance.


Jiki
Species: Mew
Age: Looks 18 or 19
Height: 5'7"
Sign: --

Jiki was the third mew created by Sha. He was engineered to only feel sad emotions, and nothing else. He is constantly picked on by Yukai and Kakudo, which certainly doesn't help his condition much. He could be considered the second most powerful of the four mews, but since Sansai never shows her real potential, it's never known for certain.


Kakudo
Species: Mew
Age: Looks 18 or 19
Height: 5'7"
Sign: --

Kakudo was the fourth mew created by Sha. She was engineered to only feel anger. She's definitely the most agressive out of the mews, although she's the second weakest. She gets a lot of joy out of tormenting her siblings, especially Jiki. Despite this, she's very attached to her small family, and would do anything to protect them.


Maruyake-Rei
Species: Meowth
Age: Looks 25
Height: 5'6"
Sign: Taurus

Maruyake was the first prototype for Sha's 'final project'. Although she definitely did not turn out the way Sha had planned, Maruyake is a relatively normal meowth, despite her black and gold markings. She loves luxury, and hates the fact that she has to "rough it" with Doshaburi the Weiney Boy to keep tabs on four psychotic mews.


Nekura
Species: Nekura
Age: 17
Height: 5'7"
Sign: Capricorn

Nekura and her parents, who both had jobs in the government, relocated themselves quite frequently, and, to Nekura, with little reason. Because of her constant transplanting, Nekura never had time to learn diplomacy or other people skills. She comes across as harsh and painfully blunt. She's cynical, very practical, and considers most everyone around her to be frivilous illogical wanks. Behind her shell of bitchiness, however, quite a lot of fear is building up, for her parents, her friends, and herself. Despite her bitterness, she isn't without heart at all, and always stands up for her beliefs and her friends, no matter what.


Rakurainiau
Species: Jolteon
Age: 16
Height: 5'4"
Sign: Sagittarius

Raku (as most people call her, since her full name is so annoyingly long) is a relatively normal joltgirl with a relatively normal family, which she left to seek her fortune in the new capitol city. Her family was made up of a flareon mother, jolteon father, a little eevee sister named Soshina, and a younger flareon brother named Kaenhoushaki (long names run in the family). She likes traveling, obviously, and staying independent. She's very charismatic, in spite (or because) of her brutal honesty. She doesn't like fighting very much, since she considers herself lousy at physical confrontation.


Rikitou
Species: Hitmonchan
Age: 17
Height: 5'10"
Sign: Aries

Rikitou is skilled at practically ANYTHING, and is much too fast of a learner for anyone to stand. Her one great love is fighting, particularly boxing (she is a hitmonchan, after all), and is very competetive and aggressive when it comes to it. She's very ambitious and aware of her talent, but not arrogant. She's also the most energetic of the group, and hardly ever seems to be angry or upset. Her constantly cheerful attitude is tempered by occasional bouts of irritation brought on by a certain 'strange guy' by the name of Job. (IQMan convinced me to let his character into my plot, just so you know }=) She's a great cook, and has a severe phobia of psychics and ghosts.


Sansai
Species: Mew
Age: Looks 18 or 19
Height: 5'7"
Sign: --

Sansai is the fifth mew created by Sha, and by far the most powerful, although she never seems to show her full potential. Her attitude most of the time is blandly pleasant (think Kasumi Tendo..), although her unstable personality is apparent through her rare but extremely violent moodswings. She does NOT approve of the mission she and her siblings are sent on, but she still goes along with them, since she always feels an intense desire to keep harmony.


Sha
Species: Ditto
Age: 33
Height: 5'7"
Sign: Capricorn

Sha is extremely ambitious, and cares for nothing but herself. She is a very soft-spoken person, and is somewhat introverted, although she is ruthless towards anyone that stands between her and her goals. She also can't stand being in ditto form, and will "morph" into something as quickly as possible to avoid being caught in her original body. She is a very talented geneticist, and her current project included the creation of six mews (four of which are alive today), and will expand to include the creation of a new type of pokemon. Although they see her as their mother, Sha cares for her creations only as if they were simple grade-school science projects.


Yukai
Species: Mew
Age: Looks 18 or 19
Height: 5'7"
Sign: --

Yukai is the second mew created by Sha, and currently has the weakest psy power level out of all four. He is, however, the most intelligent, and could be considered the "leader" of the mew pack, if they have one. He was engineered to only feel positive emotions, and because of this he's annoyingly laid-back and cheerful. That's not to say he isn't dangerous; his "nasty blood lust" (as Doshaburi puts it) actually makes him the most aggressive in his family. He will do anything necessary to complete the assignment his creator sent him on, so he can finally go home and see her again.

"The Second Part"
These are the second generation characters. Granted, in the second Poketa story, a lot of the original characters play major roles, but for spoiler reasons, I'm not going to lay out who dies, who leaves, and which personalities change. You'll hafta wait for me to finish writing or figure it out on you own... *evil laughter*

An'ya
Species: Burakki
Age: Unknown
Height: 5'9"
Sign: --

An'ya is Sha's last creation, and she is the first true evil type Earth has seen. However, An'ya was created with no purpose. She harbors a deep hatred for Raimei, and Sha's mews. While intent on destroying as many souls as possible, An'ya focuses much of her efforts on making the mews' and Raimei's lives a living hell.


Areru
Species: Growlithe
Age: 16
Height: 5'6"
Sign: Taurus

Areru is the leader of the "popular pack", and makes it her business every day to torment Kassui. She's is extremely aggressive, competitive, opinionated, and stubborn, and is practically the boss of everyone. She despises Kassui for her generally attractive (but mousey) personality, and because Jun and Jurai are unusally attached to her.


Hannya
Species: Hybrid (kadabra and unknown)
Age: 15
Height: 5'5"
Sign: Aquarius

Hannya is an extremely powerful psychic. He was born blind, which does not even present a problem to him and his unbelievably developed telepathy. However, despite the fact that his mind is strong, his body is weak. He also ages a bit slowly, and looks to be about 10 years old. He has never met his father, and his mother died when he was six. He's a friendly person, if not a little odd at times, and his friends consider him to be their wise guru. He's generally well-liked by most people, except for Areru's "popular pack".


Jun
Species: Togechikku
Age: 19
Height: 5'8"
Sign: Pisces

Jun is very optimistic, and very well liked. He's good at practically any sport, and is active to the point of exhausting himself in extracurricular activities. His best friend is Yoarashi, and, even though Riyou despises him, he's constantly trying to befriend the disgruntled wigglytuff. Jun's taken a liking to Kassui, although more in an older brother way then what everyone else thinks.


Kassui
Species: Hybrid (bulbasaur and mewtwo)
Age: 16
Height: 5'4"
Sign: Scorpio

Kassui is a very quiet and very timid girl. She's often treated poorly because of her appearance (hybrids aren't neccesarily accepted in society...), and is in the process of having a tough childhood. She is not physically strong, and her psychic powers are somewhat latent, although she feels very acutely the black aura that's starting to spread through the city. She would do anything to be accepted by someone. She worries constantly over her father, her friends' unusual social problems, and the mental status of her 'sensei' (a togechikku, Jurai, who claims to be Jun's cousin). Her emotions are always extremely intense.


Nikui and Nikumu
Species: Eefi
Age: 14
Height: 5'4"
Sign: Unknown

Nikui and Nikumu are the names given to these eefi twins by An'ya. When together, their psychic powers are immense. Nothing is known of their real lives--they are being controlled by An'ya, and serve her unconditionally. They are her primary slaves--minions, if you will--and do all her dirty work. As Velox says, "just because you're powerful doesn't mean you have to do your own fighting"...


Niseikunshi
Species: Chikorita
Age: 17
Height: 5'5"
Sign: Gemini

Niseikunshi is Areru's main lackey. She's a two-faced weasely liar. While Areru likes aggressive up-front confrontation, Nisei prefers to 'sneak around', gossip, and use psychological warfare. She secretly can't stand Areru, and is constantly trying to outdo her in their struggle for Jun's attention. She wouldn't mind bagging Jurai, either, if it would piss Areru off.


Raimei
Species: Raichu
Age: 17
Height: 5'6"
Sign: Leo

Raimei was forced into evolution when she was three years old. She is a notorious underachiever and trouble maker, has been to numerous psychological clinics, and always manages to shred her school uniform every time they provide her with a new one. She has to be the center of attention, all the time--if she isn't, then she'll do something to make sure she is. Raimei, while appearing to everyone else as a tough, stolid, in-control person, has an intense desire for someone to take control of her life for her... An'ya isn't making her life easier, either.


Yoarashi
Species: Hybrid (Jolteon and Zapdos)
Age: 19
Height: 6'1"
Sign: Aquarius

Yoarashi spent most of his young life traveling the country with his mother, and one could say that he is quite a charismatic person. Despite his charisma, however, his self-esteem is very low, due to his being a hybrid. Since he was born knowing "transform", that problem can be remedied very easily, although he feels horrible for lying to his friends about who he really is. His mother is also unusually overprotective of him, which causes him to rebel in various, minorly disruptive ways at school and at home. Yoarashi is generally a good kid, and has many accquaintances, although no real close friends.
